Barotrauma is a 2D cooperative survival horror submarine simulator set on Jupiter's moon Europa. Players explore a punishing underwater environment, encountering alien sea monsters and navigating complex on-board systems. The game features multiple factions with whom players can choose to ally or betray. With up to 16 players per submarine, teamwork is essential for success, but betrayal and sabotage are always possibilities. Barotrauma offers diverse gameplay through various missions, crafting systems, talent trees, and player classes. Players can customize their experience by building their own submarines and monsters using in-game editors and the available modding tools.
