Players must endure freezing temperatures, hunger, thirst, and dangerous wildlife while searching for resources to survive. The game features multiple modes including Story mode which unravels the protagonist's journey, Sandbox mode for endless gameplay with permadeath, and Challenges mode for experienced players seeking tougher obstacles. The expansive open world spans 9 square kilometers and boasts over 30 locations to explore. Dynamic weather systems, including snowstorms, fog, and temperature fluctuations, add realism to the experience. Players can craft tools, cook meals, and defend themselves with firearms against predators like bears, wolves, and boars.
