Grounded is a first-person survival adventure game where players explore a vast backyard transformed into a perilous world from the perspective of shrunken insects. Players must gather resources, build shelters, and craft weapons to survive encounters with giant insects and other dangers. The game features a compelling story that unravels the mystery of how players became miniaturized and offers a path back to their normal size. Grounded supports both solo and cooperative play for up to four players, allowing friends to team up and conquer the backyard together. The Shared Worlds feature enables continuous gameplay even when the host is offline, preserving player progress. Players can customize their characters with Mutations and Milk Molars, granting unique bonuses and perks. Additionally, crafting and upgrading armor and weapons allows players to tailor their approach to survival and combat.
