DYNASTY WARRIORS 9 features an expansive open world set in ancient China. Players can explore diverse regions like snow plains, jungles, and deserts, encountering iconic landmarks such as Luoyang, Hulao Gate, the Yellow River, and Mt. Song. The game retains the signature "one vs. thousands" action of the series, allowing players to control beloved characters from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms tale. A new State Combo System enhances combat with Flow Attacks, Reactive Attacks, and Trigger Attacks, reacting to enemy states and player tactics. Interactive Action allows for environmental manipulation, including climbing, swimming, using grappling hooks, and setting off explosions. With a roster of 90 playable characters, including seven new additions, DYNASTY WARRIORS 9 offers a fresh take on the classic Three Kingdoms story.
