The Darkness II is a first-person shooter inspired by the Top Cow comic book series. Players take on the role of Jackie Estacado, a New York crime boss who wields the supernatural power known as The Darkness. Two years after using The Darkness to avenge his girlfriend's death, Jackie finds himself drawn back into its embrace when attacked by a mysterious organization called the Brotherhood. This sets off a conflict that forces Jackie on a dangerous journey. The game features four-player co-op campaign mode, allowing players to control unique characters with Darkness-infused weapons. Players can use "quad-wielding chaos" to slash, grab, and throw objects while simultaneously firing two weapons. The Darkness II's story is written by acclaimed comic book author Paul Jenkins and features a distinctive graphic-noir style inspired by the source material.
