The Escapists 2 is a prison sandbox game where players must plan and execute elaborate escapes from various challenging prisons. Players can choose to play solo or with up to three friends, working together to create daring escape plans. The game features multiple floors, roofs, vents, and underground tunnels to explore, along with unique environments like Fort Tundra and a moving train. Players must adhere to prison rules while secretly crafting weapons and tools from everyday objects to aid their escape. A new combat system adds excitement to prison brawls, allowing players to block, attack, and outmaneuver opponents. The game offers over 300 customization options for creating unique prisoners and features a Prison Map Editor that allows players to design their own challenging prisons and share them with others via Steam Workshop.
