A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer featuring a young girl named Hat Kid who travels through space. After losing her fuel source, Time Pieces, Hat Kid lands on a nearby planet and must collect them to continue her journey. She explores five massive worlds, overcoming obstacles and encountering unique characters like the Mafia of Cooks and the birds of Dead Bird Studio. Hat Kid uses her jumping abilities, wall climbing, and swinging skills to navigate these worlds. By collecting magical yarn and crafting hats with special powers, she can solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and progress through the game. Hats can be further enhanced with badges found throughout the world. A Hat in Time encourages exploration and features diverse missions, from solving a murder mystery on a train to participating in a grand parade.
