Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel to the Batman: Arkham series set several years before the events of the previous games. Players take on the role of a young, unrefined Batman who faces a defining moment in his early career as he battles eight deadly assassins sent by Black Mask. Set on Christmas Eve in an expanded Gotham City, players explore new districts and encounter iconic characters like Penguin, Deathstroke, Bane, Deadshot, and Captain Gordon. The game features enhanced detective mechanics with a Case File system allowing players to analyze crime scenes digitally. Batman utilizes signature gadgets along with powerful new additions such as the Remote Claw and Concussion Detonator to combat a variety of foes, including the Armored Enforcer and Martial Artist, each requiring unique strategies within Batman's FreeFlow Combat system.
