FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the horror-adventure series, arrives on Steam for the first time. Players explore the ominous Mt. Hikami, a site of gruesome incidents and mysterious phenomena, through the eyes of three protagonists: Yuri Kozukata, Miu Hinasaki, and Ren Hojo. Using the Camera Obscura, a special camera that repels vengeful ghosts, players unravel the secrets of the mountain. The story is divided into missions, each led by a different protagonist. Shadow Reading allows them to sense memories of those who disappeared on the mountain, leading to secret paths and encounters with malicious spirits. Players must capture these spirits with the Camera Obscura to defend themselves and uncover the truth behind their demise. The camera also reveals hidden elements, aiding in the recovery of lost items. New features include improved screen resolution, new outfits and accessories, a creative Snap Mode, an updated Ghost List, and updated controls.
