Using real-world data from OpenStreetMap, players can choose any location on Earth for their settlement. Players must build shelters, farms, power sources, and defenses to protect their survivors from nightly attacks by hordes of infected. Utilize your knowledge of the chosen city to find resources and strategically defend against threats. The game features exploration, crafting, base building, and combat elements. Players can also encounter other survivor groups, some friendly and others hostile, leading to potential alliances or conflicts. Ultimately, players can strive for a cure or vaccine to defeat the virus or focus on rebuilding civilization within their Infection Free Zone.
