Against the Storm is a roguelite city builder where players take on the role of Viceroy, tasked by the Scorched Queen with rebuilding civilization after the Blightstorm. Players must establish a network of diverse settlements, each with unique needs and strengths, while navigating the dangers of a constantly changing wilderness. The game features permadeath for individual settlements, but progress carries over to future expeditions, allowing players to upgrade their base of operations and unlock new options. With hundreds of gameplay modifiers and five distinct biomes, Against the Storm offers endless replayability as players adapt their strategies to unpredictable weather patterns, resource scarcity, and unexpected encounters with fantastical creatures.
