The Ascent is a cyberpunk action-shooter RPG set in the corporate-controlled metropolis of Veles. Players take on the role of an enslaved worker whose life is upended when their corporation, The Ascent Group, suddenly shuts down, threatening the survival of their district. Thrust into a fight for survival, players must uncover the truth behind the corporation's collapse while battling a variety of enemies and exploring the diverse districts of Veles. The game offers both solo and cooperative play for up to four players, allowing for strategic teamwork or individual challenges. Character customization includes cyberware upgrades and skill point allocation, enabling players to develop unique playstyles. The Ascent features explosive combat with a range of weapons, gadgets, and destructible environments, encouraging tactical adaptability.
