Crying Suns is a tactical rogue-lite game where players take on the role of a space fleet commander exploring a fallen empire. Inspired by works like Dune and Foundation, each playthrough reveals more about the Empire's secrets and the player character's own identity. Players engage in strategic battles between battleships and their fleets within a procedurally generated universe. The game features over 300 story events unfolding across six chapters, creating a deep and dramatic narrative set against a dark and atmospheric backdrop reminiscent of classic science fiction franchises. The story follows the journey of a clone admiral who must reactivate ancient AI machines called OMNIs to save humanity from extinction. Players command their battleship through dangerous territories, facing threats and making crucial decisions that impact the fate of the galaxy.
