Stoneshard: Prologue is a demo for the upcoming turn-based RPG Stoneshard, drawing inspiration from classic games like Diablo and roguelikes. This 2-3 hour experience allows players to explore the core gameplay mechanics of Stoneshard and delve into the backstory of Verren, a key character. The demo takes players through the dark catacombs of an abandoned abbey, where they'll encounter members of the dangerous Proselyte cult. Players can experiment with various skill trees, from melee combat to magical abilities like pyromancy and geomancy, and equip themselves for battle. Stoneshard: Prologue also showcases the game's unique health system, which involves splints, bloodletting, alcohol, and drugs, adding a layer of tactical depth to survival.
