In The Riftbreaker, players control Captain Ashley S. Nowak, an elite scientist/commando piloting a powerful Mecha-Suit called "Mr. Riggs." Tasked with establishing a base on the alien planet Galatea 37 to facilitate travel back to Earth, players must build mines, refineries, power plants, and research facilities to generate enough energy for a dimensional rift. The planet is fraught with hostile creatures that will attack as the player's presence disrupts the natural order. Players can explore diverse biomes, uncover valuable resources, and establish outposts using rift technology. The game offers a campaign mode with procedurally generated environments and multiple difficulty levels, as well as a sandbox mode for customized gameplay experiences.
