A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia" is a standalone game set in 878 AD Britain after Alfred the Great's victory over the Vikings at Edington. Players choose from ten factions – Anglo-Saxons (West Seaxe and Mierce), Gaels (Mide and Circenn), Welsh (Gwined and Strat Clut), Vikings (Northymbre and East Engle), and Viking Sea Kings (Dyflin and Sudreyar) - to build kingdoms, forge alliances, manage economies, raise armies, and conquer territory. The game features a detailed map of Britain, diverse environments, unique faction events, and branching storylines based on historical events. Players can choose their path to victory through military conquest, economic dominance, technological advancement, or fulfilling specific faction objectives.
