Leveraging Portal's signature gadgets like portals, propulsion gel, and repulsion gel, players must navigate obstacles such as sentry turrets, acid pools, and laser barriers. Guided by the original voice of GLaDOS, Ellen McLain, players learn the intricacies of Aperture Science testing while solving physics-based puzzles and overcoming treacherous environments. A robust level editor allows players to design their own test chambers and share them with a global community of fellow test subjects.
