Alien Swarm is a free tactical co-op shooter where players team up in squads of four to eliminate alien threats. Choose from eight distinct characters across four unique classes and customize your loadout with over 40 weapons and equipment options. Battle through varied environments, from icy planets to subterranean lava mines, utilizing squad tactics and strategic planning to overcome the alien infestation. The game features persistent item unlocks, matchmaking, Steam Cloud saves, and achievements. As a complete Source SDK release, Alien Swarm also includes updated engine technology like a third-person camera, improved dynamic shadows, and depth of field effects, along with tools for creating custom content.
