Players can choose to join armies, navies, or coast guards, engaging in large-scale land and sea battles with up to 150 players per server. The game features over 26 classes with unique abilities, allowing for diverse tactical gameplay. Players can customize their characters, ride horses into battle, and experience naval combat aboard historical warships. Holdfast emphasizes community involvement through regiments (clans), organized events, proximity voice chat, and role-playing features.
