Onward is a realistic virtual reality first-person shooter that emphasizes teamwork and communication. Players must rely on their squadmates to succeed, as there are no crosshairs or mini-maps. Featuring authentic combat mechanics and movement, Onward challenges players with diverse maps and scenarios. The game offers both solo and cooperative modes, allowing players to hone their skills against AI opponents in missions like Hunt and Evac. Multiplayer battles support up to ten players across three objective-based modes: Uplink, VIP Escort, and Area Secure. Two factions, MARSOC (modern military) and Volk (insurgents), each with unique weaponry, engage in intense combat.
