Battle Brothers is a turn-based tactical RPG set in a procedurally generated medieval fantasy world. Players lead a company of mercenaries, making decisions about contracts, recruitment, training, and equipment. The game features strategic world map navigation for finding missions, resources, and recruits, transitioning to tactical combat when engaging enemies. Battles are complex and brutal, with permadeath adding tension. Characters have unique backgrounds, traits, and develop through experience, gaining perks and mastering diverse weaponry.
