The Descendant" is a five-part episodic adventure game series that follows humanity's struggle for survival after a catastrophic climate change event. Centuries ago, a nuclear holocaust devastated the planet, forcing humanity to seek refuge in underground bunkers called Arks. Now, as the world recovers, most Arks have reopened, but Ark-01 remains sealed. Players experience the story through two timelines: the past, where they play as Mia, a janitor desperately trying to keep the remaining descendants alive within Ark-01, and the present, where they take on the role of Donnie, an investigator determined to rescue any survivors trapped inside. As players uncover a larger conspiracy within the Ark complex, every decision they make has far-reaching consequences that will ultimately determine the fate of Ark-01 and mankind itself.
