M.A.R.S. is a first-person shooter set in a futuristic war-torn world where humanity faces threats from both UNITA, a biochemically enhanced human faction, and rogue Insectoid Robots. Players choose sides in the conflict and engage in various game modes including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search & Destroy, and unique modes like Headhunter. M.A.R.S. offers both player versus player (PvP) and player versus environment (PvE) experiences with missions, survival waves against aliens, dinosaurs, and robots, and mini-campaigns for up to four players. Players can customize their weapons with upgrades earned through completing missions and challenges, allowing them to build a powerful arsenal. The game features multiple difficulty levels, challenge modes, and unique settings like Quantum Trials, which test the skills of even the most experienced players. Players' accomplishments are documented through fully voiced cutscenes and cinematics. M.A.R.S. takes players on a time-traveling journey, encountering creatures from various historical periods and alternate realities.
