Orbital Gear is a side-scrolling shooter where players control mechs that utilize gravity for movement. Players choose two weapons from a selection of twelve, each with unique effects, to battle enemies in space. The game features classic multiplayer modes like deathmatch and a new mode called Orbital Warfare, where teams compete to destroy the opponent's base using weapons or a powerful doomsday weapon charged with energy cores collected from fallen enemies. Players can also hone their skills in single-player Orbital Trials, which consist of timed challenges against enemies. Orbital Gear offers four different mech appearances, four utilities like turrets and boosters, and 4-player split-screen multiplayer action.
