Dreaming Sarah is a surreal adventure platformer where players explore the dream world of a young girl named Sarah, who is in a coma after an accident. The goal is to help Sarah wake up by navigating her dreamscape, collecting items, interacting with unique characters, and solving puzzles. Players will journey through diverse environments such as a forest, haunted mansion, and even the moon. Items like an umbrella for gliding, a magnifying glass for size alteration, and a fish-transforming necklace offer gameplay variety. Puzzle-solving requires observation of the environment, note-taking, and exploration. The player's choices and discoveries influence one of two possible endings. Additionally, revisiting past areas reveals new elements as the game progresses.
