Sanctum 2 is a first-person shooter/tower defense hybrid game where players choose from four unique character classes to protect oxygen-producing Cores from alien invaders. Players can customize their characters with weapons, towers, and perks to create their own strategic approach to defending against waves of enemies. Sanctum 2 features both building phases where players construct defenses and FPS combat where players directly engage the aliens. The game offers a single-player campaign and four-player co-op mode. Players can unlock new weapons, towers, perks, and comic-book pages that reveal the backstory of LOEK III as they progress through the game.
