Monster Hunter Rise is the latest game in the popular Monster Hunter series. Players become hunters and explore new maps to take down fearsome monsters using 14 different weapons. Each monster yields materials to craft new weapons and armor, allowing players to continually upgrade their gear. Hunt solo or team up with others in multiplayer quests. The PC version features enhanced visuals, an unlocked framerate, and support for ultrawide monitors and HDR. The game takes place in Kamura Village, where players must work with villagers to face the Rampage, a catastrophic event involving countless monsters. Hunters can use new Wirebug abilities for traversal and unique attacks, and are aided by both Palico and Palamute companions. Players can also control monsters using Wyvern Riding and defend Kamura Village in The Rampage quest type.
