BRAVELY DEFAULT II takes players on a new adventure in the world of Excillant. Players control four new heroes: Seth, Gloria, Adelle, and Elvis, each with unique backstories and motivations. Gloria, an exiled princess, seeks to recover her kingdom's stolen Crystals, while Seth, a young sailor, finds himself embroiled in the conflict. Adelle, a mercenary, and Elvis, a scholar, join their quest for different reasons. The game features a classic turn-based battle system with innovative mechanics like Brave and Default. Brave and Default allow players to strategically manage action points (BP) by stockpiling or spending them for multiple actions. Players can customize their heroes with primary and secondary job classes, each offering unique abilities and strategic options. Defeating powerful Asterisk bearers grants access to new jobs, allowing for diverse character builds and tactical flexibility.
