Until We Die is a base defense strategy game where players protect an underground subway station from waves of creatures arriving via meteorites. To succeed, players must survive for 30 days, starting with small groups of enemies and progressing to overwhelming hordes. The game ends if Ivan, the hero, dies or the power generator is destroyed. Unlike traditional strategy games, Until We Die requires direct player control as Ivan, issuing orders to human survivors who lack independent initiative. Players build fortifications, research upgrades, send expeditions to the surface, attack mutant nests for resources, gather supplies, and scavenge for food, all while managing the base's defenses against relentless attacks.
