Azur Lane: Crosswave is a 3D action shooter based on the popular mobile game Azur Lane. The game features cel-shaded anime style graphics powered by Unreal Engine, bringing the personified battleships from around the globe to life in a massive 3D world. Players can choose from over 25 playable characters and 30 support characters, including two new additions, Shimakaze and Suruga. The game offers four modes: Story, Extreme Battle, Photo, and Episode Mode. Story Mode follows the adventures of Shimakaze and Suruga through seven chapters, while Extreme Battle Mode challenges players with over 100 fleets for rare items. Photo Mode allows players to customize poses and backgrounds for memorable screenshots. Episode Mode features over 50 sub-stories that delve deeper into character backstories. Players can strengthen their characters by equipping them with rare items found in battle or crafted at Akashis Laboratory. In combat, players control, aim, and fire at enemies using various attacks and abilities depending on the character's subtype.
