Trombone Champ is a unique rhythm music game where players freely improvise and play any note at any time. With over 45 tracks spanning various genres like anthems, marches, classical, electronica, and folk classics, players can toot their way through the game and earn "Toots." These Toots can be used to purchase Tromboner Cards, unlocking new tromboners, trombone colors, and other surprises. The game features unique animated backgrounds for each track and allows players to experiment with different trombone sounds by moving their mouse or controller like a real instrument. Trombone Champ also includes a Freeplay Mode for endless improvisation and numerous baboons hidden throughout the game, adding to its quirky charm.
